Image Optometry Eye Exam

When you visit any of our 17 locations across Greater Vancouver,
you'll receive a comprehensive exam that draws from years of knowledge and experience of our optometrists

WHY DO YOU NEED AN EYE EXAM?

An eye exam allows us to detect a wide range of conditions, including:

  • Astigmatism
  • Diabetic retinopathy
  • Glaucoma
  • Age-related macular degeneration (AMD)
  • Cancer or other serious conditions
  •
Health Canada recommends that adults get an eye exam at least once every two years (and once a year for children and seniors). That’s because many eye conditions are not noticeable until it’s too late. Regular exams with our optometrists can help ensure your eyes remain healthy. Book your eye exam online now!

    IMAGE OPTOMETRY EYE EXAM

Getting a vision exam is about more than just looking at a simple eye chart. It’s about using current technology and techniques to get an in-depth look at your eyes. At Image Optometry, we’re committed to delivering an eye exam that specifically meets your unique needs.

Here’s what you can expect when you visit any one of 16 locations Greater Vancouver.

    Step 1: Pre-Test
We’ll look at the unique characteristics of your eyes and get all the information we need before you sit down with an optometrist. We’ll look for things like:

  • Colour blindness
  • Depth perception
  • Fluid pressure in your eye
  • Peripheral vision
  • And other factors
  •
    Step 2: Vision Test
You may think that a visit to the optometrist is just about checking for changes in prescriptions. In fact, a vision test at Image Optometry comprises three components:

  • A thorough assessment of visual acuity
  • Testing for eye coordination and visual perception
  • Ocular health assessment
  •
    Step 3: Lens Technology
At the end of each eye exam, our doctors will recommend a selection of lens options specific to your unique vision needs, including:

  • Internal Freeform lenses
  • Lens coatings
  • Single vision, progressive or specialty lenses
  •
    Step 4: Custom Fit
After your eye exam and lens selection, we’ll then complete a personalized fitting of your eyewear using our i.Terminal® 2, an electronic fitting device developed by Zeiss that takes over 20 personalized measurements to make sure your glasses fit precisely to the shape of your eyes, face, and frames.

    HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

At Image Optometry we strive to make eye care affordable for everyone. Hence, we are the only optometry clinic in Canada that offers a complete pair of glasses and eye exam for $89.95*. Some restrictions apply.
